Vodafone Digital Parenting 2012 magazineDate: 01 Oct 2012
The first edition of Digital Parenting was launched by Vodafone in 2010. It provided parents with information about technology, with articles from experts including psychologists, NGO's and researchers; how to guides to help parents set up their family technology appropriately, and real life case studies. It was the first and only magazine of its kind, distributed by The Parent Zone mainly through schools, completely free of charge, directly to parents. Over 250,000 copies of the first edition were distributed.
The second edition has been created in response to the success of the first. It aims to answer the important questions parents have about safe and responsible use of technology including, ‘how much is too much' when it comes to screen time; how to set parental controls on mobile devices; as well as some of the really challenging issues, including sexualisation and commercialisation; and the first guidance for grandparents on these issues.
